I remember getting one of these, probably in the early 70's for Christmas. I remember seeing it advertised on TV for months before and begging my parents for it. Well Christmas came and there it was. My older brother and I played with it for about and hour after we set it up and, me, being so excited, ran next door to see my best friend (who, incidentally, got the Vertibird for Chanukah that year and probably still has it in mint condition) to tell him to come over and play with it. After he got dressed we ran over to my house and low and behold, my brother broke the thing into pieces. So I had about one hour total stick time on the Dareplane. It still was my favorite toy though.
